We kindly invite you to participate in the next lecture as part of the Materials Science and Engineering seminar series, which will be delivered by Prof. Stephen Wu (format:  docx, rozmiar:  117 kB) (University of Rochester, Rochester, NY USA), entitled "Strain engineering (format:  docx, rozmiar:  16.28 kB) 2D van der Waals based devices. (format:  docx, rozmiar:  16.28 kB)" Prof. Wu is a rising star in the rapidly developing field of nanoelectronics, including quantum effects and spin phenomena in the context of 2D nanomaterials. In 2019 prof. Wu was recognized with the prestigious CAREER Award by the National Science Foundation (USA). He is the author of more than 40 scientific papers, that have already been cited more than 1700 times. His main interests are quantum materials with a focus on developing novel electronics beyond the regime of Moore's law.

The seminar will take place on June 21, 2021 at 15:00 CEST via the MS Teams platform.
