Secure display case for Szczecin's ball clock will be created by our students 14.06.2024 14:29

Students from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin will help protect a Szczecin tourist attraction.

The ball clock, the work of the owner of the "Pod Gwiazdami" shop, Mr Władysław Stec, was destroyed by vandals at the beginning of May. It took several weeks to repair the damage.

In order to prevent a recurrence, students from the Mechatronics Student Scientific Circle "SKM" ZUT undertook to construct a "protective plate" to prevent further vandalism.

The rector of ZUT, Professor Jacek Wróbel, agreed to fund the initiative.

On Wednesday 12 June, our young designers met for the first time with the owner of the "Pod gwiazdami" shop. Damian Felkel and Karol Ćwiek took measurements and listened to Mr Władysław's instructions about the planned construction.

Many journalists from the Szczecin editorial offices followed the discussions.

Below is a photo report of the meeting by our photojournalist Kamila Kozioł.
