These rooms will be created by dividing the previously shared bathrooms, which were used by two rooms each. All rooms that receive new bathrooms will also be modernised. Among other things, the electrical installation (installation of a so-called hotel system), the windows, the walls and the floor will be renewed. The rooms will have new built-in furniture.
We plan to complete the refurbishment later this year.
The last major investment in the Amicus Student House was completed in the spring of 2023. At that time, we spent almost PLN 8 million to modernise almost 90 rooms, corridors, bathrooms, and the roof. Let me remind you that the building at 55 Chopina Street was built in the late 1960s.
ZUT continues to modernise its dormitories - this year, thanks to the funds provided by the Minister of Science, we are modernising the lifts in dormitory No. 5 for almost 3 million PLN, and for almost 2.5 million PLN we are reconstructing the rooms on the second floor of dormitory No. 4.
Every student at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin is guaranteed a place in a student hall of residence. We also ensure that this accommodation is constantly adapted to the needs of our charges.
