This year's ranking was dominated by universities from the United States, eight of which are in the top ten. The top universities are respectively Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.
Among Polish universities, the Jagiellonian University came first (381st place in the world). The second is the University of Warsaw (402nd) and the third is the AGH University of Science and Technology (590th). The list also includes the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, which was placed 38th in the country. In the general classification, ZUT came in 1858.
CWUR uses seven objective and robust indicators grouped into four areas to rank the world’s universities: education, employability, faculty, total number of research papers: number of research papers in top-tier journals, influence-research papers appearing in highly influential journals, citations-number of highly cited research papers.
