The West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin represents - Mateusz Lipka from WPUT Promotion Office, author of the scientific program "Stay up, visit!", Science Spokesmen Society local coordinator and Mateusz Techman from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at WPUT in Szczecin.
Participants of the congress will attend in workshops designing campaigns and social interventions promoting vaccination of children - including prototyping activities for the Spring March for Science, led by Jakub Zawiła-Niedźwiecki bioethicist from the University of Warsaw and Konrad Maj social psychologist with SWPS University, as well as workshops on dealing with online hate, conducted by Aleksandra and Piotr Stanisławscy from the popular blog - Crazy Science.
In addition, the program includes a debate on whether it is possible to change the mind-set, for all participants conducted by Marcin Rotkiewicz from Politycka, Agata Kaźmierska and Wojtek Brzeziński from Polsat News, scientists and journalists speed dates, networking game and exercises on voice emission.
Science Spokesmen Society for four years has been organizing a meeting of scientists and journalists in the formula of the so-called "Speed dates" on which representatives of science and the media have a chance to exchange contacts and get to know each other better.
On December 6th this year The West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin joined the program – Science Spokesmen. Other universities from all over the country took part in the 5th edition of journalists 'and researchers' meetings Silesian University of Technology, Medical University of Lodz and Poznan University of Life Sciences. Over last four years, approximately 80 scientists and 40 journalists from national and local media participated in the Science Spokesmen meetings.
