In the document, both parties declare their support for scientific research and development work in the field of wind energy and other renewable energy sources, the organisation of joint education and training projects, including workshops, conferences, seminars and lectures, and the promotion of renewable energy as a key element of sustainable development and energy transition.
- This is a very important day for us as a technical university, because now we will officially be able to jointly support various activities related to projects, the organisation of training and conferences, everything related to wind energy and renewable energy sources. Thank you for agreeing to participate in this, because together we can do a lot,' said ZUT JM Rector Professor Arkadiusz Terman, 'We are a university with 14 different scientific disciplines in 11 faculties. Economics, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy - these are some of our faculties that we are constantly modernising. We like to invite people from industry to come and talk to us, because we hear from them what kind of graduates they need in their companies. We organise the learning in our courses to make this transition to the employer is as smooth as possible.
- This is a very important day for the entire wind energy industry, which I have the privilege to represent in Poland. There are more than 200 members of the PWEA, which has been based here in Szczecin for 25 years, and this is no coincidence. The best people who have been working and supporting the development of the entire wind energy industry for many years, not only in Poland but also in Europe, come from the ZUT. Today's letter confirms the position of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin as a leader in the training of wind energy specialists, now onshore and soon offshore. This cooperation also includes areas related to economic activity here in the region, as the West Pomeranian Offshore Wind Energy Valley is being created. Many companies have made investment decisions to locate their business here,' announced PWEA President Janusz Gajowiecki.
ZUT and PWEA will cooperate in the field of science and energy technology research, with plans to implement R&D projects, also with external funding. In the future, they plan to organise educational programmes for students and employees of the energy industry, as well as exchange of knowledge and experience between experts. Efforts will be made to disseminate knowledge about wind energy through information campaigns, publications and participation in industry events. Scientific papers and reports on renewable energy will be published.
