Statement by the Rector of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin regarding of LGBT people 23.06.2020 13:57

Ladies and Gentlemen, students and employees of the University, considering recent events and attacks directed at LGBT people as well as offensive statements by politicians, as the Rector of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, I strongly condemn every act of discrimination and I assure you that within the walls of our University all students and employees of the university can feel safe.

People with different sexual orientation also study and work at our university. They are part of our large and diverse academic community.

In accordance with the principle of respect for dignity and tolerance considering dignity and good name of all students and employees, our University is guided by the principles of trust, respect and tolerance for all views, attitudes and lifestyles permitted by law.

At the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin we do not discriminate against anyone based on race, nationality, religion, gender, disability, age or sexual orientation. We respect people who differ from our own beliefs and views, and we use freedom of speech wisely.
