Every year, students who use SOLIDWORKS software for designing, which allows creating the spatial geometry of the designed detail, take part in the competition organized by DPS Software. The organizers do not impose project topics - it all depends on the imagination and creativity of the participants.
Various projects are submitted to the competition - from everyday products, furniture, tools to complex machines and vehicles. The aim of the competition is to select the best project made in SOLIDWORKS software and to make possible to participants to enter the engineering market.
Maciej Hamulak designed a vertical CNC milling machine (numerical control) that enables machining of shape surfaces, grooves or teeth in details made of any material.
Marek Sobotka from the Warsaw University of Technology and Wiktor Nowak from the AGH University of Science and Technology were also among the awarded. The competition was decided during the DPS FORUM - a nationwide meeting of representatives of Polish industry, schools and technical universities.
